Music from Greece, the national Music Export Office initiative, was unanimously accepted as a full member of the European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE).
The decision was made during the EMEE General Assembly, held in the context of Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in Groningen, on 14 January 2026.
The unanimous vote of the EMEE member organizations constitutes a strong institutional recognition of the internationalization efforts of Greek music and marks a crucial step towards the full integration of Greece into the European music export world.
A strategic milestone for the Greek music sector
EMEE is a non-profit organization based in Brussels that brings together national and regional music export offices from across Europe, aiming to strengthen cross-border circulation of music, professional mobility, knowledge exchange, and sectoral collaboration.
By joining EMEE, Music from Greece officially becomes part of a trusted European network, giving the country the opportunity to:
– Participate in coordinated promotional strategies and joint initiatives,
– Contribute to the European cultural policy dialogue,
– Enhance the international visibility of Greek music, and
– Provide Greek professionals with access to structured export tools and networks.
